Building a bespoke contract-signing app for a pest control company

Randa Services needed a proper website and a way to get pest control service agreements signed without printing, scanning, or chasing paperwork. Here's what we built.

Randa Services is a pest control company, and like most trades businesses, a good chunk of the job happens before anyone picks up a spray gun: agreeing the job, agreeing the price, and getting a signed contract in place. That last part is where a lot of businesses still fall back on printing something out, scanning it back in, or just emailing a PDF back and forth until someone remembers to chase it.

We built Randa Services their main website first, then went further with something more custom: a bespoke digital contract-signing system built specifically for how they work, rather than a bolted-on e-signature tool or a generic third-party plugin.

How the contract app works

A client gets sent a unique link. They open it, read the Pest Control Service Agreement, and sign it online. Once it's signed, the completed contract is saved directly into Randa's process instead of sitting in a folder of scanned PDFs somewhere. The contract templates themselves were built alongside the app, so the wording and the signing flow work together rather than being two separate things bolted next to each other.

What else went into it

Alongside the site and the contract app, we did the logo and sticker design, set up a customer dashboard, and put website performance reporting in place so Randa can actually see how the site's doing rather than guessing. It's all part of an ongoing monthly retainer, not a one-off build-and-leave.

Why a custom app instead of an off-the-shelf tool

There are plenty of generic e-signature tools out there, and for a lot of businesses they're the right call. For Randa, building something bespoke meant the signing flow, the contract templates, and the way completed agreements get stored all fit their actual process, rather than Randa having to adapt their process to fit someone else's tool.

If your business is still chasing paperwork around instead of having it just work, have a look at website design and build or get in touch to talk through what a custom tool for your process might look like.
