Why I started leeday.uk and what I actually do
A bit of background on who I am, why I set up on my own, and why I think small businesses get a raw deal from the web development industry.
I've been building things for the web since 2019. I started in-house, then freelanced on the side, then went full-time for myself when I realised the clients I was helping most weren't the ones big agencies were chasing.
Who I actually build for
Small businesses like a bakery in Croydon, a plumber in Kent, or a personal trainer in South London needed websites and digital tools that actually worked. Not beautiful mock-ups that took six months and cost four figures a month to maintain. Something real, live, and useful.
I set up Hosting Easy Ltd and started leeday.uk to serve that market directly. No account managers, no bloated teams, no hidden fees. You call me, I build it, it works. That's the model.
Why AI became part of the offer
The AI side came naturally. When tools like Make.com and voice agents started becoming genuinely useful in 2023, I started integrating them into client projects. I'm based in London and South East England. Most of my clients are local, though I work with businesses across the UK. I'm registered through Companies House (CN 15169743) and all projects come with fixed pricing and a clear contract.
